Curing Diseases with Code:
Molecular Simulations in Drug Discovery
*What makes drug design challenging?
*How can computers and simulation software
help drug discovery?
*What are the key interactions that drive
*What is the role of water in molecular recognition?
*How do chemist in pharma and biotech decide
what molecules to make?
Woody Sherman, Ph.D., is the Vice President
of Applications Science at Schrodinger and
an Adjunct Professor at UMass Amherst.
He will share his research involving scientific software,
drug design and how he uses code to cure diseases.
